Why choose ICAS?
ICAS is the most powerful diagnostic tool available to help schools and parents plan for the road ahead.
It gives teachers and parents deep insight into the true capabilities of students assessing the higher order thinking and problem-solving skills needed for success in:
Every year, thousands of schools participate in ICAS, giving an international benchmark that can be relied upon.
Educators in over 20 countries are tapping into ICAS to enhance student, cohort and school performance. ICAS does not assess how well a student remembers what they have been taught, it assesses the skills that underpin curricula internationally.
ICAS in 2018
- Enhanced online reporting
As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we have upgraded the ICAS online reporting system. With its modern responsive design, users will be able to access the system using a wider range of devices. Existing customers can log in now to check it out.
- Product support
Building on the online training offered in 2017; users will be able to access on-demand video resources and gain a deeper understanding of the upgraded ICAS online reporting system.
- Professional Learning
A range of accredited professional learning workshops and webinars are being offered through the year. Through these, teachers can develop their skills in building rigour into assessment design and interpreting assessment outcomes. Join our mailing list to keep up-to-date on these events.
Don’t forget to take advantage of the new features introduced last year:
- Easier access to reports
A dedicated reporting login has been enabled, so more teaching staff will be able to access the detailed diagnostic reports online. This will make it easier for teachers to create custom groups and gain deeper insight into specific student strengths and areas for improvement. The login will only give access to the reporting portal and not to a School’s account. The school’s nominated ICAS Coordinator will administer the login.
- Triangulate data
Triangulating data from a range of sources will be made easier, with each ICAS answer sheet capturing a school-nominated student ID (9 digit numeric). This will help teaching staff to obtain a fuller picture of student capabilities.
