FAQs for Students
No. GAT can only be sat at the school where your child is enrolled.
GAT assesses Mathematics, Reading and Language, and Writing.
GAT is designed specifically for students in the middle year of schooling see www.eaa.unsw.edu.au/gat/year-level for year levels tested.
The test structure comprises 40 multiple choice questions for Mathematics, 40 multiple choice questions for Reading and Language and a Writing task.
GAT is a two hour assessment.
No. Students are not allowed to use calculators, dictionaries or translators.
No. GAT results are sent to the school.
