EAA is committed to furthering quality in the teaching and assessment of mathematics. In the course of our work the EAA maths team generates many resources, some of which we are making publicly available.

Puzzle of the week:

The problem of the week can be used as a way to stimulate and engage students. A new puzzle is published every week, along with the solutions to the previous puzzle.

ICAS Mathematics Glossary:

EAA is in the process of producing an extensive glossary of mathematical terms commonly used in school level mathematics.

• Three-D Cubes (76 KB PDF) – a general guide to different
  diagram types for representing three-dimensions
  

Excel Spreadsheets

• Clock-hand angles (228 KB xls) – a spreadsheet
  giving the angle between the hour and minute hand for different times of day.
  
• Primes 500 (60 KB lxs) – a spreadsheet listing the first
  500 prime numbers.
  
• Pythagorean Triples (72 KB PDF) – a spreadsheet
  of whole number right angled triangles, also giving the perimeter and area of the triangle.
